What can I post?- Once you have established your userid and password, you may post any question that you have about your specific TigerLogic product. This is not intended as an alternative avenue to Customer Support, but our technicians will monitor the group for information that may lead to improving our products. You may wish to ask the group a question before calling Technical Support.
- Many well-informed people in our user base are very open about answering questions for their fellow users, and you are welcome to do so whenever you wish.
- These groups are not officially moderated, but TigerLogic technicians will monitor each Forum. TigerLogic reserves the right to remove any post that does not meet our standards for ethical and reasonable content.
What can't I post?- We discourage excessive cross-posting or posting to a group that is clearly focused on other products and will remove those posts.
- Blatant SPAM and unsolicited advertising to the group will be deleted without notice. E-mail signatures are not considered advertising. Posting information about your company or relevant products or services in response to an inquiry is encouraged.
- Positions wanted or available notices are not allowed. There are many other places available for this on the Internet.
- Personal flames, foul language, and other unprofessional conduct that wouldn’t take place in a public meeting will be removed.
- We will make sure that all participants are members of our user community and have a professional interest in the material discussed. For participants who regularly post material that does not reflect the general interest of the group, we will remove their posts and/or eliminate their ability to post to any of our Forums. We don't believe this will be generally necessary, as our community has already proven that it supports constructive technical exchanges.
How will TigerLogic use the groups?- As mentioned above, our worldwide Customer Service technicians will moderate the forums for the products that they usually support. From time to time, someone may follow-up with you directly to offer assistance or enter an action item on your behalf to address issues that are discussed.
- Announcements of new releases, patches, tech-briefings or other information that is of interest to specific groups will be made.
- Based on issues that are presented by VARs or users, we may occasionally follow-up with questions or to offer information, products or services that will help to address a publicly stated need. This will of course be with full respect of the distribution channel. We want our customers to be happy and will try to assist wherever possible and appropriate.
Will I receive SPAM as a result of being in these groups?- All participants must subscribe to our groups, they are not open to the general public. Each subscription request is manually approved by a list owner/manager at TigerLogic.
- The list of forum subscribers is not available to the public and email addresses are not made available to anyone other than the TigerLogic technicians. TigerLogic does reserve the right to send product information and announcements to the members of these forums.
Will an archive of previous postings be available?- Yes, we will maintain an archive of all postings to all of our forums and a full
- search capability is available.
